The portrait of Charlotte Pulitzer(1833-1920) the mother of Serena Lederer is stylistically dated 1915, although the painting was only commissioned in 1917 as transmitted by Erich Lederer. Klimt achieves in this late portrait a sense of psychological interest in the depicted person. Charoltte Pulitzer appears very noble, her rascally eyes and her mild smile underline her kindness.
